Staying home.

 On Sunday morning I stayed home with my brother  and  we  played handball on our concret. Then my brother Did not want  to  play  so  I   asked my sister if she wanted to play and she said yes. So we played and played until it was lunch time. We had Mcdonalds. It was so so yummy. Then I asked if I could come in her caravan. After That we played teachers. It was fun. We asked if we can have a frirt I had a an apple and my sister had an orang. We saved Them for frirt so we can play school properly. I had a fantastic day today. Then I hoed into my pool with my baby brother I dun a bom of our world bank  I had a bom competition. Then my brother went under the water. Then my cousins came over to my house. Then I asked if I could have a ice block but I had a coco coler one.

I found it hard to cover the plant with soil.

I really enjoyed planting my plant.

Next time I need to look after my plant.

Week 3 writing sample.

ON Sunday me and my Family went to the skate park in kaikohe. First we played on the swings. Next we asked if we could have a lollipop. The lollipop was so yummy. It was so hot so we asked if we can have a chockylit sonday from Mcdonalds so my Grandmama went to Mcdonalds. She bought us a chocklit sonday it was delicious. Then I asked if I could bring my skateboard. Finally we went home. I was as happy as a clown. I went to play on my toy car my toy car was going as fast as a racing car. I said to my Grandmama I had a cheerful day today. My Grandmama was so glad.

Recount Writing-The Floods

The floods 

On Friday me and my family were sleeping in our cosy beds, and suddenly something woke us up. It went kaboom! 

It was so loud. I looked out of mine and my brother’s window. It was thunder and the rain was falling from the sky hard. 

 It rained so hard that it made big puddles everywhere. The puddles turned into a huge flood. The flood water was rushing and gushing along the creeks and on the roads. They were filling up the paddocks and the fields.  The heavy rain was pouring down and it didn't stop. 

When I saw the big huge floods I felt scared. My legs felt like rubber. My hands were shaking. I had a lump in my throat. My heart was pounding fast. I covered my mouth with my hand. There were butterflies in my tummy.                      

I said “This is yuck and disgusting” because the mud was going everywhere. I was tired of watching the flood, so I went to get a blanket and went down stairs and watched TV.   I asked if I could have some lollies and popcorn. And that's where I was for the rest of the day. It was cosy and warm.

On Sunday

On Sunday me and my brother went to our Aunty’s house in Waima .First when we got there we took our groceries inside because it started to rain. We hurried up because our groceries were getting wet. Next we asked if we could play on their playstation and they said after dinner.

Then I asked what were we going to have for dinner and they said fish and chips it was delicious with tormarto sors and maine. After that we got the controls ready I said to my brother It is taking for long. Finally it ternd on and I was excited.

On Friday.

WALT to use the correct structure and language in our writing. At the Warehouse in Waipapa On Friday morning me and my family went to Waipapa Warehouse to spend our money. First when we got there we woke our little cousin up because she was asleep on our chair. Next she woke up and got out of the van and she quickly started to hold my sister's hand. After that we ran to the warehouse. My sister asked us what we were going to buy. I didn't tell her because I was too excited. I was jumping up and down. I had a big smile on my face. I was wondering what I could buy with my money. Finally I saw something. It was a ‘despicable me’ toy with a Gru minion and Grus motorbike. I liked it. It was the coolest toy than all of the other toys in the shop. I asked my cousin and my brother, “Do you like the toy you bought?” My cousin bought a buzz lightyear toy and my brother bought a dinosaur that can make sounds like a real dinosaur and can work like one. It is awesome. We ran back to the van. We were as happy as a clown. Then our Grandmama went to the shop to get us an ice cream. I really liked the ice cream. I said to my Grandmama I really liked the day today and she said I did too. She was in a good mood.

On Saturday
On Saturday morning me and my family went to the pools
in Whangarei for a swim.
First when we got there we went to get changed into our togs. I felt excited. I was jumping up and down and waving my hands around. 
Next I went out to the pool to have a swim. When l got to the pool I bombed in. SPLASH!
The water was cold. I felt freezing.
My body was shivering all over. So I got out and quickly ran to the hot tub to get warmed up.  
We were learning about...how to write a recounts.
I found it easy to..how to write hard words.
I found it hard to… how to use poppy words.
I really enjoyed...writing recounts. 
Next time I need to…hurry up and write faster.

On Saturday morning I rode my bike to my Uncle’s house in Kaikohe.  I went there to play with Rio and Josiah.  

They live next to my uncle’s house.  

First, I went to get water.  

Next, I went to get my bike outside on the rack.  

After that, I said to my koro and nana, “Bye.”  

They said, “Bye,” back to me.  

Then I got my bike out of the rack.  

Finally I got there and played cops and robbers.

I went to a creek with my aunty.  It was on Saturday.  

We went on a log swing and we jumped in the water.  

I was excited. 

I said to my mum, “I went to the creek with my aunty. 

It was fun.”

First, we had lunch with my mum.  Next, we went to play in the water.  After that, we went to the shop to get some bread.  Then we went to the beach.

Finally, we went home to play outside with my mum.

The Maori people were in NZ first.

Then the English people came.

They started having problems.

The Maori people got help from the King.

The King sent two men to help.

William Hobson and James Busby 

and the Maori chiefs made some rules.

They agreed with the rules and 

they signed the Treaty.

The Treaty helped to keep NZ safe.

It was called the Treaty of Waitangi.
